We are a leading custom hardwood component supplier to the furniture and cabinet industry.  Precision machined dimension and furniture parts are our specialty.

Green Lumber

Most lumber is purchased 'green' from local mills that utilize area grown timber. The lumber is graded and separated by lengths. It is then stacked in stripped layers to aid in the drying process. For several months the lumber will set and slowly lose moisture content. Once range is met, lumber now considered 'air dried'.

Kiln Dried Lumber

After air drying for several months, the 'air dried' lumber is ready for the dry kiln.  We use the kiln drying to bring the moisture content of the lumber to our desired dryness, typically 6 -8%. This will insure that the 'kiln dried' lumber is ideal for interior use needs

Cutting Order

Lumber grade is selected for each cutting order. The length and the width of the finished product pretty much dictates the grade of the lumber cut. 4/4 5/4 6/4 8/4 are standard thicknesses available. Standard lengths from most mills would be 8, 10, 12 foot long. Longer lengths and custom cuts sometimes available. 

Custom Build- Rough Mill

After the material selected has been cut into blanks, the fine tuning begins. As the cutting order flows through the rough mill, the parts are moulded to pattern for thickness and width. The length will be precision end trimmed in preparation for the finish mill.

Precision Dimension- Finish Mill

Any specialty work needed to custom build is completed in the finish mill. Boring, shaping, and routing are typical precision functions. The sanding of custom parts completes the precision dimension of custom build. From a rough cut finish to a completely fine sanded 180 grit finish, the customer decides
